Food is Medicine (FIM) is the provision of healthy food — most often medically tailored meals, medically tailored groceries, and produce prescriptions — to prevent, manage, or treat specific health conditions in coordination with the health care sector (Rockefeller Foundation). It is a clinical-delivery and policy framework, not a claim that food replaces medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment.
