Maslow’s need hierarchy and the adjustment of immigrants

This study applies Abraham Maslow’s (1970) need hierarchy theory to elucidate the adjustment process experienced by new immigrants. By analyzing longitudinal data, the research captures the dynamic nature of immigrant needs in Israel during the first two years following their arrival, highlighting the progressive stages of adaptation and the shifting priorities that emerge as immigrants settle into their new environment.
