Terms and Conditions
The objective of this document is to lay out the Terms and Conditions associated with the CNP Library Membership program (henceforth referred to as “Membership” or “Subscription”) provided by The Center for Nutritional Psychology (henceforth referred to as “CNP”). For the purpose of this document, the prospective or existing Membership holder will be referred to as “User.”
If the User is under 18 years of age, permission from a parent or legal guardian is needed before accessing CNP Membership.
Membership is non-transferable. Users will not share login credentials with another party, with the exception of Users who hold the Organizations’s Membership Plan, which allows for the addition of up to four people. User is responsible for every use of Membership that occurs in conjunction with the use of User login credentials. In case of unauthorized use of Membership or login credentials, the User must notify CNP as soon as possible.
CNP reserves the right to refuse Membership access.
Membership purchase provides access to CNP’s online library database, which includes CNP Summaries, years of study publication, study citations, links to original research publications, and research categories. CNP does not own the rights to any original research publications, open-access or not. Content from original research publications is subject to the copyright and usage policies of original publishers. CNP Summaries and research categorization are the intellectual property of CNP. Users may download, print, distribute, and otherwise utilize these two materials at liberty, provided proper citation is given (APA 7 format preferred). CNP is routinely updating and expanding its libraries. CNP does not guarantee that specific content will always be available within the Membership platform. The user understands that not every research publication listed has a CNP Summary and that some supplementary data, including but not limited to year and citation, may not be available for each publication. You must not use scripts to automatically mass download Membership content.
The Center for Nutritional Psychology Rev A, 5/2/21 A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Educational OrganizationnCNP limits its liability to the fullest extent allowed by law. CNP will not be liable for any unintentional, actual, incidental, or consequential damage, loss, or claim of any kind. If User is dissatisfied with any element of Membership or any portion of these Terms and Conditions, User’s sole remedy is to cancel Membership. CNP’s total liability in any matter related to Membership or these Terms and Conditions is limited to the total amount User paid CNP during the year preceding the event giving rise to the liability.
Membership prices are provided on CNP’s website. While CNP reserves the right to modify Membership pricing at any time and without notice, Users who have already paid for their Membership will not be affected by these changes within the year their Membership is valid for. Membership is offered in three plans: Student Plan, Professional/Individual Plan, and Organizations Plan. In order to purchase a Student Plan, the User must upload documentation of student status.
Membership is automatically renewed at exactly one year from date of initial purchase. Member is responsible for cancelling. If Membership is cancelled, Member understands that all personalized Membership data, including but not limited to lists, favorites, and notes, will be lost.
From the time of initial Membership purchase, User has 48 hours within which they are eligible to receive a full refund. Within 48 hours of initial purchase, the User must contact CNP at contact@nutritional-psychology.org and request a refund. CNP reserves the right to ask for payment verification. After 48 hours has elapsed from the initial purchase, the User will not have the ability to receive a refund for the Membership purchase. User is able to cancel Membership at any time but will receive neither a full nor partial refund if 48 hours have passed from the time of Membership purchase. CNP reserves the right to cancel User Membership at any time and without notice. In case of CNP-initiated Membership termination, the User will receive a prorated refund of the original amount paid for Membership, excluding any processing and/or service fees incurred by CNP.
CNP will maintain strict confidentiality of all identifying and personal User information. This includes financial, biographical, and business information, as well as contact information. CNP reserves the right to publish general, de-identified data regarding Membership usage. This clause will survive the termination of the Membership.
CNP reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions. Users will be notified of changes. Users who continue Membership maintenance and usage are considered as having accepted the Terms and Conditions changes.
